We sell thousands of trailer tires each year and we have had amazing success with an entry level price point tire called Freestar. Its a private label brand manufactured in Thailand and imported by a company based out of California. We have seen no discernible difference between it and Goodyear on the many fleet accounts that we service, and this is across a very large sample size. Granted they may wear them out before they time out so the experience may vary on a trailer that sits, but the majority of our customers prefer the Freestar over more expensive options.

Most important factors are tire pressure, protection of UV when not in use, making sure hub bearings and axles are in good working order.

I have the same system Frank has and it seems to work pretty well. The only downside so far is the gold colored monitor. LOL

As another trailer owner, actually a Trailex owner who stores his trailer in a heated garage twelve months a year.
Would you still recommend replacing the tires every 3-4 years..

this is really wnderful information.. thanks for all your insight.

Thanks for this recommendation. I just bought this system and will be using for my 2500 mile round trip to Midi Ohio and WGI from New Orleans next month.

Same here - thanks for the recommendation. I just ordered and installed it also. Getting ready for a 3200 mile round trip out west and back so glad for the added peace of mind.

I checked the the batteries that came installed and each was just under 3 volts (2.98 - 2.99). I put in new that read just over 3.2. Guessing every little bit helps.

I'm probably too often at 2 years with Goodyear Endurance on my ATC CH305.

I store my ATC open trailer outside but I put tire covers on when not in use to cut down the UV and high heat degradation found here in the Carolinas. I like to think this does extend tire life.

I own this system. Does it do any good in a box in my garage?

I have to set it up this year!

When to change your trailer tires? If you are asking the question you should have already changed them.

Back from our 3200+ mile round trip. This system worked great - awesome peace of mind. I had to keep it on the dash (didn't use the windshield mount) otherwise it would lose contact with a tire occasionally. Goodyear Endurance with rubber stems.

I was getting a weak signal off of 2 my tires so I went ahead and changed out all the batteries on each of the TPMS. Seems like it has solved my issues for now.
