the above column was on whether Ferrari hit a dead end...

this is another Aero article from a different but very respected source (Willem Toet) and it concludes with an interesting observation of between Torro Rosso and Red Bull....

Red Bull (the sponsor) is betting heads and tails :-)

Was there a second article you meant to post?

Interesting article - aerodynamics are such a black art... Toro Rosso didn't do too bad in Australia with the Inboard design. In pre-season testing, Magnusson said that following cars was much easier with the new regulations. After googling their photos from the Aussie GP, it looks like HAAS has also gone with inboard front wing designs as has Alfa Romeo -- so all 3 Ferrari powered cars have decided to go Inboard while Mercedes and Red Bull outboard.

The next couple races are at Bahrain and China, proper race tracks. If Ferrari find themselves as slow as they were in Australia, I'd look for them to change wing/nose design to outboard or at least have their wind tunnel testing the effects of changing. I know it's early, but when Vettel is asking the pit wall why they're so slow and the response is "I don't know"... there's a big problem and it's a very long season.
