I'm pretty sure you do as well.

The first comment was just a joke about using turn numbers. Second comment was in general - not to you.

I only have 99.6% of a lap record at LRP - you appear to have more!

Agree with it all except " You can go flat for a second before lifting and/or braking slightly for the right hander into no name. "

Strive on set up to work your way up to as close to flat as possible .This is the second most important turn on the track and on very low HP cars possibly the most important.
Supper important to set up properly on the left edge of track exiting the lefthander. Smooth impute not upsetting the car but getting you tucked in or on the righthander apex. This has always been where I make time on most.

Any first timers need help with any track questions during the weekend please don't hesitate to come over to me at the race.

It does depend on the HP of the car. I like to upset the rear to get the car turned quicker between 1 and 2 in big bend as well as turning into no name. Giving it throttle and lifting helps me with that. Never driven a cup car so I don't know how that would work for you.

rennpoints.com is where you can look up all lap records.

LRP lap record for GTB1, is held by Spencer *** at 55.364. That is flying in a GTB1 car!

Not sure there are many other GTB1 drivers in the 55s. Spencer might be the only one. Go Luigi!!

RennPoints - the go to source for lap time info. It’s awesome.
Yep, only two racers with official laps in the 55’s.
Frank looks like you got very close.

That's crazy fast. I wish I could drive that track more often. Was able to go for my one and only time last year in an E46M3 which has similar wt/hp as GTB1 from what I can tell. Managed to get a 56.8 on day 2, but I think I could spend a lifetime trying to learn that sneaky little track.

Thanks to Frank, Luigi, and others for the first-timer tips. Now, anyone willing to share set-up/alignment advice??? Next I’ll ask the rest of the SPB field to just get out of the way...

Luigi- yeh I was only commenting on the right hander. No matter what the HP car it is try and strive with set up to be as flat as possible with the throttle through there I guarantee your laps times will improve by a good amount. Especially in lower hp classes

Not low at all. In fact it’s as large as it’s ever been.

There are currently 11 GTB1 cars! Date for the LRP race has been pushed out a few weeks from the last few years so I am going to trust it could be warmer. Still, never had a problem with the cold air as the engine likes it!

If last year is an indication GTB1 will be running with the Cups. The previous year, the Cups has their own run group and GTB1 was with GTB2 and 3. So it all depends how many GTC and GTA cars will show up.
