Porsche Track Experience
Hi all,
Brand new to Rennlist! I'm thinking seriously of signing up for the 2 day Porsche Track Experience at Birmingham, AL for this summer. For those of you who've done it; Impressions? Is it worthwhile? I have autocrossed a lot but never taken a car to the track. Sorry if there is already a thread on this subject. - Joe |
Just scroll down and find "School Comparison" by Crazyfast. Good info and writeup.

Welcome aboard Joe. I haven't done the Porsche Track Experience, but getting your car on a track is a fun and rewarding experience.
Good luck and be safe. |

In the 2 day you get car control plus auto cross plus track driving plus off road. (Unless it’s changed). Had a blast. I didn’t really want to do offroad in Cayenne and I was blown away by the capability of the vehicle and some of the terrain we experienced. FAR more aggressive than I ever expected. Well worth it. You get to drive several different Porsche’s. I was also shocked at how capable the Panamera was on track and we got to launch the Turbo a few times. Just make sure your head is against headrest when you launch. Its eye watering. You can provably ask for manual and/or PDK. I drove both on the track. They used caymans for auto cross and all were PDK. |
