I thought Laguna at 90db was the worst. Angled pipes and lifting going by the sound station are about the only solutions I’ve heard of. You mention “turndowns”, which I assume mean angled pipes facing down. If that’s the case, you might try angling them up at ~ 45 degrees away from the sound monitor instead. That seems to work best unless there are low clouds that can cause the sound to bounce back.

You have been lucky and I hope your luck continues and extends to the rest of us.. Last year we were present for a spate of black flagging of bog stock cars (Porsche GTs, Mustangs, and Corvettes primarily) at PCA and BMWCCA events at LRP. Astonishingly, while our bog stock ‘15 GT3 got black flagged, our modified exhaust S54 BMWs never did. LRP seemed particularly aggressive on the muffled days prior to an unmuffled day. On two occasions we were told “atmospheric conditions” were contributing to the high sound readings. We think that meant somewhat low cloud cover. We really love LRP and the opportunity to visit the area, but it’s very hard to justify the gamble of going when stock setups are too loud.

An electric track car could exceed 88db. That whine is substantial, and it carries. Also, that loud ‘crack’ when the accidental electrocution takes place might be really loud.
