Hagerty. Very reasonable rates and incredibly easy / responsive/ efficient to deal with.
The policy covers collision for transportation for both trailer and race car in addition to storage and paddock coverage.
I can't remember if it has liability coverage included.

I used to have Lockton but they no longer cover the state of NY. Tried Hagerty but never felt comfortable they they actually knew what I was looking for during our one hour phone calll. Subsequently went with Heacock who knew exactly what I wanted.

Hagerty, but as per the post above you have to make sure the agent you talk to knows you asking about STP. First time I called they tried fitting a classic policy to my gutted and caged M3.

You can also get coverage for tools and equipment plus a very good towing policy that will cover all the cars in your household including your tow vehicle and trailer. For the trailer itself, it was more cost effective just to put that on my regular auto policy with the truck.

I use Heacock. I recently compared the price of Heacock and Haggerty and Heacock was a little cheaper. In fairness I did not read through both policies to truly compare I only compared the price for the same insured amount with same deductible. There may be nuances within each policy. Fortunately I have never needed to file a claim so I can;t speak to the process, etc.

is the Lockton thing just if you reside in NY, or does that gap in coverage apply to events at the glen, or comp events in the state?

It only applies if you live in the state of NY.

I do my Hagerty policy through my local agent. I never had trouble getting exactly what we want, but I could believe the standard agents may not understand what you want.

In case anyone is looking in Massachusetts, the insurance market is rather odd (regulated) and the usuals don't write STP policies here. We ended up having to get an inland marine policy that covered STP. We found a great agent that was also a BMW club racer--he was quite helpful.

I had Heacock/American Modern for a few years, had 1 claim and they paid with zero issue.

Got mine online from Hagerty. Very clear what you're getting.
