From the UK Daily Mail, it seems that the series will not cover Mercedes or Ferrari as they wouldn't grant access.

Thanks for posting the notice about this. I will certainly watch it as I would anything about F1.

However, the trailer leads me to think that the theme is intended to play to the old cliché public perception that these are crazy men who have a death wish, despite the title of the series. We'll see...
