You’ll love Sebring. Great track (even though it’s not the smoothest and that’s an understatement) and there’s something about going to Sebring because of the history and tradition. I’ll be there in a gray 991 with my law firm banner on the windshield, “Backer Aboud Poliakoff & Foelster.” Say hi if you see me. I’ll do the same. There are different ways of attacking a number of turns at Sebring and much of it depends on the car and driver. My recommendation is just to take it easy and do what you plan on doing which is just learning the track and having fun.

I would drive my car to PBOC winterfest which was the world to me, and then i stepped up and started trailering to winterfest! At the time that felt like a big deal! And I never thought of being involved with actual racing until I attended the PCA 48 D.E. Thats when I got the idea to take another leap!

That crossed my mind! Though I don't have a light kit for the GT4CS so I would need to do it in the 996. (My night vision requires more than stock headlights these days) My fear is that I would not be able to make the transition between the boosted brakes in the 996 and the non-boost in the Cayman. I only have 1 day in the Cayman at this point and have A LOT to learn about using the brakes effectively. I want to stay focused on that car so that I can be competitive in it by the time PCA 48hr roles around.

Me too! I had a white 987.1 Cayman. Haven’t been back to Sebring since, but I definitely want to. I live in TX now, so COTA is my home track. Sebring definitely has some character though.

Bela, if I survive the my 2 days in the 4C and I get a hang of the track, I may have you transport my SPB down there for the PCA race.......

I ran it two years ago. Loved it,. Work keeps me away this year and last.
The folks who run it are really great hosts. Very well organized event.
They even made a point of making sure every team had their radios set to scan for track info ("car off in Bishops end"). Made sure there was someone there who could help program it if you could not.
Friendly atmosphere and the diversity of cars in the 6 hour makes it a real blast.
A real GOTO event for me.
Do it!!

Anyone attending?
I am thinking of signing up for Friday/Saturday in my Alfa Romeo 4C......
I have never been to Sebring nor ever tracked the 4C before, so I was preferably looking for a veteran to show me the best way around the track..... the 4C I will have to figure out myself.....
not looking to set new lap records,I just want to enjoy the new (for me) track and car......
Any brave souls that want to help me expand my horizons in trying Sebring in a 4C? I promise I will behave...

I’ll be there. Been every year since 2003, I think.
If you see Purple RS #101, I’m happy to talk you through a few laps to get you some shortcuts.
Just paying it forward, I had so many home track experts help me when arriving at a new track.
