Three laps.

2.17.XXX
2.18.XXX
2.19.XXX

Tires were going off...

I have some 2:26.XXX in a 2-liter (yes, 2.0-liter) car driven by JLS or Brady around somewhere. Not quite as much reckless abandon as these laps, but pretty close!
So turns out I had a rear wheel bearing going out. They had to replace it after this race! The 2:17 was my fastest lap of the race.

The tires were on their last leg also. Hoosier R7 replaced after this race.

It really depends on the grip level and the type of car to say what fast should actually look like..

In these old cars fast requires alot of slip angle and "over driving" to keep the momentum up and the car happy and "free and dancing". If you look at the 919 Evo. well obvi there is no sliding there and the inputs are completely different.

My 2:17 in this video is 8 seconds faster then the 2nd fastest car in my class and 6 seconds faster then the 2nd fastest car in the race.

So all that crazy "over driving and sliding" does make for some great incar.. But also does make for some good lap time too!!!

2:25.6 at Sebring on my 2 liter is my best ever on DOT's. Its physical but not as busy as Leh trying to keep that car under him.

Leh you have not mentioned the track conditions. There was a combination of types of compounds and brands deposited this particular weekend. At least on the GT3R it made it "interesting" on some turns (11/12 were slippery for me every session)

Top athletes in sports make things look easy, which lures the rest of us in to give it go, only to discover that it's not easy at all.
