Default Cooling suit fittings - reference needed

Are the quick disconnect fittings used for Coolsuit, FAST and other brand driver cooling systems all a standard size and commonly available?
I've looked at all the system vendors websites and forums but am having a hard time finding a reference.

McMastercarr.com has what you need. I have seen 2 kinds and they are not compatible. So pick your style and just replace all the fittings to the same type.

I forget which is which because it's been a while since I did this, but there are 2 types of fitting. One works with both types, the other one doesn't. A quick google search will help, that's how I figured it out back then.

Coolsuit male connectors fit Coolsuit or FAST female connectors.

FAST male connectors only fit FAST female connectors.

I am thinking of doing a DIY system, so two female bulkhead fittings for the cooler, a pair of barbed male and a pair of barbed female for the hose.
I plan to buy the shirt unless someone can convince me otherwise. Then I'd need two more male fittings.

Correct
FAST buys their fittings from a supplier - standard fitting. Coolshirt has them made for them - they were tired of getting jerked around by the supplier.
The reason one fits with both but the other doesn't is not complicated, but just in the design - the little notch in the male end in the coolshirt is bigger so it works with both, in the FAST its' smaller so the coolshirt female doesnt work with the FAST male.

So... a Coolshirt shirt will work with any hose/system, but a FAST shirt only works with FAST hose/system.

and FYI, we carry Coolshirt fittings and have the female bulkhead connector if you are interested.

McMaster Carr has two types of fittings, ones with auto-shutoff when disconnected and open connectors.
I am assuming a cooling system for a RC uses all auto off fittings so as not to leak at any disconnection point.
Can someone confirm? Are all 'Coolshirt' brand fittings configured this way?

I can confirm that the traqgear shirts do not pour out when disconnected. I built my own cooler and used the shut-off fittings as well. Don't forget to buy a few extra fittings to drain the shirt and hose at the end of the weekend.

For building a DIY garment, how does one couple the standard size tubing (ID 5/16) to smaller 'capillary' tubing to be sewn into the shirt?
I have not seen any relevant fittings. Perhaps heat the 5/16 and slip in the multiple smaller tubing, then seal any gap with silicon and then encase in waterproof heat shrink (the 3:1 with the goo).

Thoughts?
