So sad. I had many gentlemanly battles with him on track (usually he came out the winner) then always shared a smile and handshake with him afterward. He will be missed..

I am so sad to hear of Lou's passing. I've known Lou for years and raced with him and against him many times. He was just really nice guy and always so pleasant to chat with. His lovely personality will surely be missed
I am just truly saddened
My heartfelt condolences go out to his family.
We lost a real good one.
I'm sure they have better racing in heaven!
Rest in peace my friend

Oh no, I'm so sorry to hear this. We just chatted at the Summit Point race back in September. I raced with Lou for many years in E class with both of us getting the better of each many times. I met Lou at his first race at Lime Rock. He qualified in front of me and on the first lap I was behind him and both of us were heading down the inside towards turn 1. Some idiot was trying to win in the first corner and came flying up on the inside with 2 wheels in the grass and as Lou turned in got collected by the guy. The guy who hit Lou was a well known local club member and he was afraid the local guy would get the benefit of the doubt and he'd get a 13. I didn't know Lou, and he saw me in the paddock and asked if I saw the incident. I told him I did and would be happy to go talk to the scruits about it. I did and while I don't know what if anything happened to the other guy, Lou was found innocent. And I had a new friend from that day forward. That was probably 15 years ago. And even after I sold my E car for the 44, We'd always sit down and chat on a race weekend. He was one of the good guys. Godspeed Lou.

Almost 40 years ago years ago (yikes...) I got a call from a guy named Lou who needed some technology help in sorting out problems at his workplace in his first career - high school teacher. We became friends, thru that common geeky interest, and thru cars. At that point, he was into old Alfas...had a grey Giulietta iirc, and I had British car issues. We both, obviously, needed interventions. Shortly after that, he transitioned into a new career and I became one of his clients. Between he and his partners, I remain one to this day.
Another friend dragged me to Trackmasters shortly after they'd been organized ~25 years ago. "Oh look...Lou is here". Lol. Electrons circling the nucleus, I guess. Lou was one of the "core guys" who founded Trackmasters, and that group was (and is) a unique little island in the motorsports sea.
He was one of the most gracious, intelligent and kind people I've known. Very sad to lose him. He has a wide circle of friends who will do their best to help Linda and their daughters deal with this loss.
Miss ya, Lou.
