Default 2019 CHIN Schedule is out

http://chintrackdays.com/schedule.aspx

Couple
NJMP dates, WGI, and VIR all looking good right now.

And dare I say, maybe check a bucket list track or two off the list. (Never too early to start planning).

How can you run njmp in New Jersey in March? Cup 2 tires would be frozen solid. Seriously, how would this work?

Put them on the car as opposed to running with them? That’s what I’d do.

We had the Shelby and Mustang Group here at VIR this weekend, cold at night (freezing Sunday morning, high of 45 on Sunday) and nobody died. As a matter of fact, it was a really nice weekend, with lots of fun and lots of learning.

The Audi Club the previous weekend had 50’s in the morning, high 60’s-low 70’s during the day, and we lost a bunch of Corvettes to the curbs and green guardrail. Go figure...

It’s the loose nut behind the wheel that primarily determines a successful outcome, or not...

NJMP is also on the schedule for November 16 and 17. Interesting dates at NJMP this season for sure....

Hey cupcake, you want to win the 2019 HPDE Champions Cup or not? Champions don't talk about the weather, they talk about the opportunity.

Might have to change my user name to "cupcake" now.
As for the DE Championships, I have no desire to win any championships. My only desire is to become a better driver on track, and that will continue to come with more seat time.
That pretty much cover it sunshine?

Dearest cupcake,

I'm only looking out for your best interests.

Warmly yours,
Sunshine

Last year the early NJMP event was, I think, $300 for both days. Might have been a touch more. So, Chin is embedding in the price a little bit of weather related risk protection. Not sure if the November event (which is a new date for Chin) will have a similar budgetary relief feature.

This is getting a bit weird for me, but what do I know, so I'll play anyway. Cupcakes and Sunshine. Only thing missing is the unicorn....
If I gave a crap about the weather (which I do not), I'd have done about 1/2 the days I did this season. I only cancelled one event this season out of all the ones I signed up for, and that was due to family obligations that came up last minute. Ironically, it was a Chin event. (VIR in October). I was able to make the NNJR VIR 3 day DE the following week, so no harm no foul I guess.
We do LRP in early April, so I'm not really concerned about NJMP in March.
The November dates at NJMP in 2019 are a new thing for Chin (as you mentioned above) and being that late in November, could end up being snowed out. I will sign up regardless. If weather cancels the event, I won't go. If it doesn't, then I'll be there.
I will also be at the March dates as well if we're not away skiing.
I know a bunch of folks this season that cancelled events last minute due to weather forecasts and ended up missing some really nice track days with good weather.
Hope to see you at both NJMP events honey. Would warm my cockles...
