Close Call - GT3RS chasing down a GT3 @ Spring Mountain Motorsports Ranch
Just got back from an amazing event with POC @ Spring Mountain Motorsports Ranch up in Pahrump, Nevada.
Had a close call with a GT3 on the track and also got my personal best breaking the below 2:30 mark and on my birthday!
Hope you enjoy the video!

Nice driving.
You had the GT3 driving his mirrors as soon as you came into his view. He was all over the place once he could see you. Glad there was no contact.
Thanks for posting. Track looks like fun with tons of runoff...and Happy Birthday.

Nice video. I think the (very nice) GT3 should have given up earlier for the sake of his and your safety instead of trying to race you, which actually made him slower.
And congratulations on your birthday and your 3RS!

Crazy the amount of throttle that car will allow while high amounts of steering input are being applied. My car would have been driving half that track backwards!
Fast is an understatement!

Thank you for all the nice comments, truly appreciate it!
The track is fast and takes some time to learn as there are a few ways to take many of the turns, and it feels like most turns are off camber.
This was the 3.4 Mansell configuration which is the only config I have every run since this is what PCA LVR and POC run, but the full track is actually 6.1 miles long.
Going to Chuckwalla this coming weekend and Buttonwillow next month with PCA SDR as I am currently in a battle for first place in my CC16 class.
Hope to see you guys out there!

Great driving!
Was this an on track competition or just running laps? If the latter, I'm surprised he didn't get flagged to let you pass after you were clearly pushing him for so long.

POC event. In that class there are no point by etc. Up to the oncoming car to get by and make the pass. Folks don’t have to throw away a lap just to let someone by. Many do move over but they do not have to.

Nice laps, the GT3 driver clearly pushed his abilities a bit too hard trying to stay ahead of you! Nice reaction to avoid a collision! Glad everyone came out OK

The driver of the GT3 which is also a good friend did tell me afterwards that I got in their head when they saw me coming, and does not usually drive in the same group as I do with PCA, but for POC there is only 2 TT groups and the other is very slow as it is more a PDS group.
