F-Stock Boxster Build

F-Stock Boxster Build
I am now the owner of a 2000 F-Stock Boxster Race Car. Moving to something safer, less costly to operate, lower value and proper manual from my track prepped 997.2 GTS
It is 'almost done' and I am starting this thread to assist with its 'completion'.
It was build by DeMan Motorsports a few years ago and was a single owner car being converter to a RC from a DD a few years ago.
Althouhg mostly complete, there are a few obvious items missing, and some other nice-to-haves depending on use.
The cabin has been stripped, full cage, short shifter, built suspension (JRZs, tarret and GT3 monoball suspension parts.), fire surpression, etc.
I do not know what the current weight is (but will be near a scale next weekend).
It will be used mostly for DEs, but I want to preserve F-stock should I ever race it or a next owner. It has a transponder already.
I'd like to reduce weight, and allow for ballast to make F-stock min weight when racing.
It's dual driven at DEs in Black and White.
Here's a list of what I believe it is 'missing'.
Kindly provide feedback on what would be priority and what not.
Easy Items
Frunk and Trunk still have carpet - strip.
Remove radio and dash speakers
Install AIM Dash, SCHD, etc. (have in my current car and will move it).
Engine Systems
Power Steering Underdrive pulley
Power steering cooler
Transmission oil cooler
Accusump (has X51 already)
Oil filter remote in trunk - spin on
Oil Cooler (already has third radiator)
Safety
Upgrade seats to full Halo (has Sparco Evo 2 Plus)
Install newer harnesses from current car.
Center safety net (already has drivers side)
Exhaust
Currently stock
What to do in view of noise restrictions an issue at most local tracks?
(Lime Rock, Thompson, Palmer, Club, Callabogie, Mont Tremblant, WGI, etc.)
Suspension
LCA Inners use rubber bushings, replace with Monoball?
Spring rates 500/600 - increase?
Misc
Racing Clutch (wait until I need a clutch)
Lexan windows
Lightweight top (currently has factory hardtop and rear glass)
Livery -
Looking for ideas

Congratulations on your purchase!! Welcome to F- Stock!!!
For reference, I have F stock Boxster 2004 Wt is 3060 lbs for racing. I have full JP racing chromolly cage, Power windows still in. Defroster still functional, Single halo seat, Factory hardtop with glass window (Interior stripped) and I still need 100 lbs of lead on the floor and 1/2 tank of gas to make weight.
Your car can run a little lighter but check the PCA rule book for exact weight.
Easy Items
Frunk and Trunk still have carpet - strip. Negligible difference
Remove radio and dash speakers. Remove
Install AIM Dash, SCHD, etc. (have in my current car and will move it).Good Idea
Engine Systems
Power Steering Underdrive pulley YES
Power steering coolerYES
Transmission oil cooler I don't have one and has not been an issue but couldn't hurt
Accusump (has X51 already) All F-stocks from my shop (Speedwerks NY) don't use one. Nyol says not necessary
Oil filter remote in trunk - spin on Your Call
Oil Cooler (already has third radiator) Not needed. Stock works fine. I have an oil temp and pressure guage and Oil temp is fine without additional cooler even with racing. Add oil pressure and temp guages instead.
Safety
Upgrade seats to full Halo (has Sparco Evo 2 Plus) YES
Install newer harnesses from current car. YES
Center safety net (already has drivers side) YES
Exhaust
Currently stock
What to do in view of noise restrictions an issue at most local tracks? I have the Fabspeed supercup. Sounds great. Sometimes passes limerock, sometimes not. Max flow will pass.
(Lime Rock, Thompson, Palmer, Club, Callabogie, Mont Tremblant, WGI, etc.)
Suspension
LCA Inners use rubber bushings, replace with Monoball? Your call
Spring rates 500/600 - increase? Not sure of my spring rates. Car built by Speedwerkes. Give Nyol a call for advice.
Misc
Racing Clutch (wait until I need a clutch) Check F-stock rules. I think you may need to stick with stock
Lexan windows- As mentioned, my car has power windows and still needs ballast.
Lightweight top (currently has factory hardtop and rear glass) As mentioned above. Also, no need for roof net with factory top. Fiberglass top needs roof net.
Good luck with your build. Hope to see you on grid for some races next season.

Turning back to the original 'list', any good livery ideas?
I'd like to keep the installation DIY and relatively low cost.
This probably means purchasing ready made hood/roof strips and side graphics.
I'd add some custom lettering from a local sign shop.
I'd buy a premade window visor
That being said, I'm looking for other ideas and thoughts.
Given a silver base, that probably means reds, oranges and blacks.
I also like the idea of incorporating the class, both PCA and NASA
Here's a couple of cool starting points:

I would leave the exhaust stock until you decide to race it. The difference in HP isn't that much and it's much more pleasant to drive.

Today I went for tech for next week's end of season DE at NHMS.
My indy went over everything on the car - some surprises:
It has a PS Cooler and underdrive pulley - cool - saves me the job
It has race headers without the front Cat and O2 sensors have been removed.
This feed the factory exhaust.
The car weighed in at 2990 WITHOUT the driver!
We also removed the radio and discovered amp cables.
After some digging around the car, I have now removed the Spare tire and tools, Radio, wire and big Amp with heavy mounting plate.
Net 47lbs! Still wire and speakers to remove (dash)
However, the car is still 136lbs over the class min of 3005 with driver.
Any ideas on further weight reduction are appreciated!
- Battery?
- Headlamps
- Wing motor
- Fiberglass canopy and lexan
- Door glass and window motors
etc.
What get's me the most weight savings per $$?
