Working on integrating a rain light. I chose the CarTec Multi light for the hazard and rain modes. I decided to tuck it under the rear spoiler and fabricated (3D printed) a custom mount to fit the space perfectly. The Cartec bolts to the mount and the mount bolts to the spoiler with a couple of M6 bolts hidden in the spoiler body. Still a work in progress...Trim removed.

Exhaust cutouts installed in catless mid pipe.
Vac lines not yet run, but I'm going to use a small aux vac pump in trunk rather than engine vacuum.
Vac lines will poke right from cutouts up into trunk. Just a couple of inches.

What a nice move , I should have thought about that before I put in the straight pipes. We have one track in the northeast Lime Rock that is strict on non race days.

Since the only exhaust guaranteed to pass at LRP is the stock muffler, I went this route. LCMT, Palmer, also have heavy restrictions.

First test of the cutouts complete. Here is a video:

At the end are some pics of the setup.

I still have some work to do. The vac pump has a cutoff switch at 15" of Hg and the cutouts need about 20.
They are only 60-80% open.

I will either find a 20" vac switch or just eliminate the pressure switch and use a turn off delay relay to just run the pump for 10sec on actuation.

After 67s of track time this season looks like I have an intermix issue and need a new engine.
The easiest solution is a like for like 3.2 'race' rebuild (e.g., from RND/LN).
If I want to step out of F stock (as long as the result is classable),
what are the recommended options?
Thinking 996 3.4 or 3.6; but unclear who will rebuild the 3.2 with increased displacement.

Thoughts? Comments? Sources?

My advice to you is no new build it will cost you way to much. Just get a used 3.2 on ebay for 3k.

Junkyard motor and get back on the track Could be tough to sell later if you run something crazy.

The easiest solution is to buy a used replacement motor with the correct displacement Any odd-ball track car that doesn't fit into a popular race class is very hard to sell. Why did the current engine fail?
