Yeah, I get that, but I think the logic train needs to back up a few stations and start at a rough guess as to the net worth of the guy in question and then see if insurance fraud over a $2.5 million claim against the dealership that is almost certainly coverered by insurance is one of the stops along the line.

Or, put more eloquently and succintly:

Holy cow! I thought the guy beat it to some $hit-hole country never to be seen again. Glad they caught him.

"Months later, all the affected owners have been made whole one way or another, Champion Porsche attorney Roy Diaz told the Orlando Sun-Sentinel this week, though the bad taste still lingers for many."

Wow. Just wow...

Default Not guilty?

I'm no lawyer so tell me how the hell this guy is going to plead "not guilty" to all of the charges here? What's his angle? Blaming the dealership for poor reporting standards that gave him the opportunity to steal? Bad childhood?

I'd think that pleading guilty (or even no contest if that's available) and taking your medicine is the best possible outcome for him.

Sookralli shower room scene:

-Honestly, I can get you a new GT3 for nothing.

-That's great. Pick up the soap now.

You always plead not guilty so that you can negotiate a plea. No one pleads guilty when charged.
