ClubReg updated with run groups:
Blue - Vintage
Yellow - SPC, SPB, GT5, 944Cup
Red - everyone else
I was hoping E would have been with SPB and 944Cup vs. the faster SPC.
E should be fun, personal best for 6 of us is within 1 second.

lots of respect to the promoters for giving everyone a fun weekend...but that split of cars makes ZERO sense. zero.
why are there like 50 cars in red and yellow and like 14 in blue. would love an explanation since unless im mistaken, we're all there paying about the same. 55 cars on track in one run group, 14 in other.
not exactly a watkins glen, monticello kind of track. its a 1:20ish for the red group. some adjustment should be considered.

The event is setup with a max of 50 cars in each of the “normal” race groups. The run group splits are setup to accomplish this. This is why SPC a faster class is in the slower group while E is in the faster group. As said it is a PCA requirement that vintage has there own run group.

As an aside the wider spectrum of cars makes for better racing. The fast cars will catch the back markers much sooner and make traffic management more important. Several years ago we did a support race of one run group of 50 cars. SP1 up to the latest cups at the time. The racing was great and everyone had a good time, even the SP1 driver. Let’s hope for good weather, that is more important than the run group splits
