I've driven 1100 miles twice to drive COTA. It is worth the trip and the cost.
I was planning to go in Nov, but it got moved up, so now I have to wait for the Feb 2019 event.

If you have ever thought about it, JUST DO IT! COTA is fantastic!

No better way to learn the track than with the Texas boys in the PCA showing you the track.
The classroom instruction is top notch. A lot of slides and track analysis in class to show you how to drive the track well.
NOBODY does COTA better and very few come close to the low price.

One of the last times to get on COTA in 2018! They seem to be tightening up on available time for clubs with all the OEM events.

Count me in on this. I wish this is something I could do at all tracks. Would have been really helpful at Barber when I was there for the first time in early July (Chin DE).

Where is the meet-up place? I'll have 1/4 of a garage somewhere.

I try to arrange a track walk when possible at tracks I coach at. It doesn't always work out. I did one two weeks ago at Watkins Glen with Lee Carpentier, and we got a huge turn out!

Meet at garage 1. Please bring an SUV if you have one!

Is it a track walk or a drive and walk? Walking the entire thing can take a good bit of time. I walked the entire circuit at Spa after the F1 race in 2014 and enjoyed every minute. Took a while, but good way to get some exercise and see the track details up close.

Walking CoTA really gave you a good appreciation for the elevation changes and the curbing. It was also very interesting to see the surface after a race weekend (PWC) to observe the lines and the amount of gators used.

Also, the frequent camber changes surprise people since they are not apparent at speed

They are apparent at speed, it's just a different way of finding out when you lose grip.....at speed....
