Default subjective question - is mid-olio worth an 8 hour tow

I get this is purely subjective, just looking for some opinions . Having been there, I'd drive 8 hours to run watkins or VIR, no problem. would not for summit shenendoh or jefferson. love summit main, but would consider that marginal for 8 hours. would tow 8 hours for pit race, once.

So for those that have run Mid-Olio, what's your opinion?

I towed there from San Jose, CA. It was worth it.

It’s a world class race track. Definitely in the top 10 in the US. The drive time is usually insignificant to the time it takes to prepare. IMHO, it’s a no brainer if it’s only 8 hours.

Thanks for input. was my suspicion, but figured it was worth getting input. I'll add it to the list this year.

Great track. Make the 8 hour trip every year.

Between NOR, OVR and MOR PCA and other non PCA gropus there are tons of opportunity to get on the track in September and October. I'm certain you'll enjoy the experience.

It's a very different track than VIR and WG, but very fun. Definitely worth the drive.
Find a 3-day event to make the tow worthwhile. Mid-O is a very technical track so you're just scratching the surface of respectable lap times on the 2nd day.

Not only worth an 8 hour tow, it makes Ohio worth living in.

I'm TWELVE hours away and I go to Mid - O as often as possible, which isn't often enough.

Back in the day when, I lived in Detroit and racing SCCA, Mid-Ohio was my favorite track. I've visited it a few times since. Here's an old video of my 987.1 chasing a "New" GT4.
