subjective question - is mid-olio worth an 8 hour tow
I get this is purely subjective, just looking for some opinions . Having been there, I'd drive 8 hours to run watkins or VIR, no problem. would not for summit shenendoh or jefferson. love summit main, but would consider that marginal for 8 hours. would tow 8 hours for pit race, once.
So for those that have run Mid-Olio, what's your opinion?

I go once a year from Texas. This year planning two trips. Fantastic track.

It’s a world class race track. Definitely in the top 10 in the US. The drive time is usually insignificant to the time it takes to prepare. IMHO, it’s a no brainer if it’s only 8 hours.

Between NOR, OVR and MOR PCA and other non PCA gropus there are tons of opportunity to get on the track in September and October. I'm certain you'll enjoy the experience.

It's a very different track than VIR and WG, but very fun. Definitely worth the drive.
Find a 3-day event to make the tow worthwhile. Mid-O is a very technical track so you're just scratching the surface of respectable lap times on the 2nd day.

Back in the day when, I lived in Detroit and racing SCCA, Mid-Ohio was my favorite track. I've visited it a few times since. Here's an old video of my 987.1 chasing a "New" GT4.
