Just an FYI. Almost all GT cars (and others) will need to tie there exhaust valves closed completely even with stock exhaust. This assumes you are pushing the pace. I saw a few in the lower run groups who were ok without the mod but it’s a pain of your not prepared for it. Even a Cayman GTS with stock exhaust received multiple black flags. The allowable sound level is way below last year.

Have blast on a great track.
We missed you Matt - I can't remember the last time you weren't here with us!
But visiting Italy would be hard to turn down.

Been an awesome 2 days on track so far. Love having the family up here as usual.
Sitting in line at the gate right now Sunday morning 6:55 am. Gates open at 7.
Black flags left and right for noise violations. Most of the GT cars left yesterday because they couldn’t run due to noise above 92 db’s. Total crap. Feel
so bad for you guys.
The rest of us, just a stellar event.
Temps in the mid 50’s this morning with sun and no humidity. Absolutely perfect running weather again today.
Hearing rumblings that this is the last year for this track due to track owner/town issues. That would be really sad. I hope it’s just rumors and this is not
my last day on this amazing track.
Will post a full trip report later tonight after dinner, if I’m sober enough to type.
NER, Stan, Adam, Justin and the rest, you guys did nothing short of an amazing job with this event... again.
Cant wait for the first black session at 9:23.
Until then....

You're making me miss Tremblant. I'll be heart broken if this is the last year. The story I heard was that there was a development built behind turns 4-5 the years the track was being renovated and the developer forgot to tell people there was a racetrack. Now the McMansion owners are upset about the noise and want some of Mr. Strolls $$

Well, if so, Matt, you'll just have to learn to enjoy Calabogie Or Mosport, for that matter.......

Tremblant has turned into a family event. I'm not sure my kids will find the vast expanse of nothing at Calobogie the same as the luge.

Yup. + 1000!!

Exactly. As much as I love this track, (and we got a chit ton of track time this afternoon--4 or 5 sessions between lunch and 4:00), having the family here with me, the whole family, tops the list of why I love this event. No other track event I do has this kind of atmosphere surrounding the track itself (not to mention the casino for me and the wife, and yes, we are bringing home lots of Canadian $$ again this year).

The casual and fine dining, the casino, the track, the amazing scenery, the blues festival, the bars, the comradery at the track, the family activities (yes, I will admit that between Thursday and today, we all got in 4 rounds of mini golf at the course 1/2 way up/down the village), just everything about this event is the bomb. Nothing like an amazing day on an amazing track, and then coming back to your wife and kids for some awesome family time.

If the place does indeed closes down after this season, there is no event I can think of that could replace it as far as family fun goes. Nothing here in the east anyway. Hard to entice the family with Millville, NJ or Ware, Mass, or even Watkins Glen, NY. Just not the same.

Here's to hoping that the rumors are just that...rumors. Fingers are crossed. I would not be happy if today was my last track day here. Not happy at all.

Off to Quintessence with the wife and a kid or three in an hour. BTW, our annual stop at C'est La Vie last night was once again stellar. Octopus, elk, seal, and camel were all amazing. Watching your kids cook their own crocodile and kangaroo...priceless.

Maybe we should get a Rennlist consortium together, line up some financing, buy the damn track, and teach these McMansion homeowners who are causing the problems a lesson. This is not a track I want to see disappear. Not one bit!!

Matt, you are spot on about the family event aspect of this event. I can't even begin to tell you how many families were here from NER, NNJR, and a bunch of other regions with their families. Truly heart warming....

Don't know if your going to see this early enough but I 'm at the Westin also. Planning on going to the track this morning. Let me know if I can give a lift to your wife and kids..
How can I recognise your car?
Me and the wife are going to see the cars. Haven't found THE Porsche for us yet.

Danny, somehow I missed this until right now. Sorry bud. We are here tonight but leaving around 11 to grab the trailer/track car and heading south.

I will text you when we get back to NJ tomorrow. Sorry we missed each other... again. Hopefully next year...or sooner.

WE’re back home in Mtl. We went back to the track early afternoon. Me and my wife were talking about the noise levels. The red group was on track. There was a few loud exhaust out there. I can only imagine the sound of the flagged cars.
I haven’t read or heard anything from the local clubs about LCMT closing. Can’t believe that would happen. The track has been there for so long with such a history.
Have a nice and safe drive back.

Although the track has its challenges fighting off the sound *****, there is almost no chance it will be forced to shut down.
Current owner is a force and has plenty of resources and incentive to fight.
Biggest risk I see is that drivers with loud cars will get tired of the uncertainty and stop coming (when even street cars blow the meter it's frustrating, never mind for the track car owner that just spent a boatload of money on a quieter exhaust and still blew the meter).
I sure am glad my Cayman is quiet.
Nice to see you at my favorite track.

Great to see you as well Rick.
My Cayman had no issues ether.
A few of my NNJR buddies said exactly what you fear, they won’t come back due to the uncertainty of getting black flagged for noise.
A bunch of them had street cars this weekend and got multiple black flags for noise. Seems the enforcement is much more stringent this year.
I truly hope you are correct and the owner continues to fight. The way I heard it, he was just tired of fighting.
LCMT has become one of my favorite tracks as well, but the family aspect of the event is the icing on the cake for me.
Great seeing and talking to you and it was fun watching you drive. You have that track nailed. If I coulda kept
up, I would’ve loved to follow you around the track and learned your line. Someday.....not!!
See you at The Glen.

@dgrobs which cayman were you in? Yellow one?

I was in the white s2000. It was a very well run event, glad the weather was mostly on our side.

Now who murdered the beaver on turn 14...

Yeah, that was some nasty roadkill. The debris flag came out for a lap or two.
My car was the Yellow 981S with Black and Red striping b 2 b and checkered flags on the sides. Number is 694.
I think I remember seeing your car. What run group were you in? I was in Black. You?

Yes in black. I think I only saw you in one or two sessions, but you were one of the quicker drivers out there. I remember the checkered flags on the sides..

The s2000 numbered 326 was my friends car, he wasn't able to make it, but surprisingly the car although under powered was really good in the turns. I could basically stay flat from Turn 1-4 - it was the only spot I really had at catching some of the quicker cars..

The owner of LCMT, he doesn't ever "get tired of fighting." Given his resources, he will keep that place open as long as he wishes.

It's his personal playground, first and foremost. We're just fortunate that he lets us play on it...
