It's not just you. I found it very difficult to watch.

+1 . It’s hard to watch and if it doesn’t rain, it could be over by lap 2

so much for it being a boring race. well done to Hammy. Vettel took himself out of the win with the red mist moment on the first turn - no way he was going to outbrake Bottas tucked up under Hammy.

Ugliest.
Trophies.
Ever.

What was with those giant molded animals? A gorilla, a rearing horse? WTF?

Is it a sponsor tie-in?

I'm not sure what the story is. Truly bizarre trophies. It would have been funny if they showed the podium winners putting the trophies in the garbage on their way out.

Ferrari couldn't have been happy with the statue of the "BLUE" prancing horse!

It looks like the designs I made with a spirograph back in the 70s! Ugly and confusing as hell. Sometimes I couldn't tell if someone had gone off or was still on the track.

There was a huge gorilla statue right in front of the podium matching the trophies. They announced on air, in between the yelling and screeching, that an artist designed them just for the race. Appears to be self-inflicted and not a sponsor tie-in. I thought the French were all about style?!

I think I understand better why Vettel eliminated himself from podium position at the very start.

Shame DannyRic had 2 aero issues from mid lap 20's. He was catching Max and it would have been fun to watch. Instead he battled bad understeer for the rest of the race.
The Fezzas looked fast in a straight line. Pity for Vettel that he made that error at T1.
