You've got THAT right! It definitely helped catch him out. Mark is a really good guy, but he's an executive, not a pro.

Bit. Hard.

Sucks to be him for a while.

It's more of a jump than a bump, though their is a bump there. That is where you see the photos of everyone with 3 wheels in the air. The Stadium Super Trucks look really wonky right there.

That was the same conclusion I came to.

750+hp... the laws of physics still apply.

Funny that we passed each other on 17 coming to and from The Glen last week. What are the odds? Can't make that $hit up!!
"Hey, that looked like Jeff." Phone rings a second later: "Hey man, I just passed you going the other way"...

Kinda feel bad for the Vette driver hitting the wall in the pace car. Oops is right....

Someone forgot to correct in time and enough.............now are you listening to all those that are giving him excuses... too much power available, bumps on the pavement, hit something, etc etc... oh, he has an imsa race license.....yeah, never seen an imsa driver that had car control issues before......

Watch the rear tires - he was on the gas all the way to the wall. Left black strips all the way!

Yes you basically see the same every weekend at your local HPDE: A Corvette Sunday driver who shouldn't be in your run group ruins the day for everyone.
But this one was on National TV...

That car goes from 0 TO 60 IN 2.95 sec with 755 hp and he turned off traction control.....and **** happens. Just shows anything can happen on your worst day. I'm sure had he known this would happen, he would had stayed in bed that day.

It happened in a blink of an eye. You can fault the driver, but this video shows even an experienced driver could get into this mishap.

Yup ... most likely just driver inexperience. A lot of horsepower and sounds like a tricky spot on the track. And it looks like no nannies combined with possibly the driver mistakenly thinking "never lift" a bit too long?

ABS off? check!
Anti-lock off? check!
Laws off physics off? nope!

It might have been better for him if the car exploded immediately to save him the embarrassment!

iRacing just posted this to their Facebook account today:

/iracing/videos/10156447424051085/?hc_ref=ARQisit-4cpwRrgcxvG2dx36U6rUIJ_dpnTZ3fxwEnwMxg2vAdnz10KpoJIBGATnEDM]www.facebook.com/iracing/videos/10156447424051085/?hc_ref=ARQisit-4cpwRrgcxvG2dx36U6rUIJ_dpnTZ3fxwEnwMxg2vAdnz10KpoJIBGATnEDM

Since the forums block Facebook links for some reason (?) you'll need to put the facebook.com in front of that.

The video is public, you don't need a Facebook account to view it.

I LOL'd

Maybe the car will end up in the Corvette sink hole museum.
