My understanding is that when they decided to add a points system, it whas decided that the number shall be two (the minimum number of races at any PCA event). Not one, nor three. Four was right out. I think it was further decided that the points races shall be the last two.

All good proposals...but would be nice if the Vintage classes were allowed to participate! So...I added that into my submital - along with a bunch of changes to GT Classifications I submit each year that seem to disappear into some black hole..

What has changed since 2009? Did they do two sprints and an enduro or just one sprint and an enduro?

And they said it couldn’t be done Excited to let everyone know Vickie announced at drivers meeting at vir that these changes were accepted by PCA.
Beginning in 2019 all races count for points, bonus points for cars you beat in class who take the green (not the checker).
Thank you Evan for serving as Chairman of this effort, thank you to all the racers who sent comments of support, thank you PCA national and vickie for listening and all their hard work to make it all function.

My hope is that these changes don't adversely affect the Lime Rock Park since it only has two races. Maybe they will consider making some changes to the LRP race format - but that would be hard to do with the Sunday racing restrictions. Maybe boot the vintage (which would be a shame as I love watching them race) and make it a three sprint race weekend. Something to think about.
I also hope PCA changes the date of the LRP race as it is sometimes really cold in early April in Northern Connecticut. I put that in my proposal as well.
