+1 Easy drive up from Raleigh and plenty of reasonable places to stay and eat in Danville.

I fly into Raleigh, easy drive to Danville where I've had good experience staying at Marriott Courtyard. Easy drive to ttrack.

Reason attendance is low is because of the heat. It is so hot at VIR in the summer.
This event date should be swapped with Limerock (which is too cold).

You're preaching to the choir Clarke. We just have to get the right people to listen.

I'm in Raleigh. If you are coming from south of here and want a place to stay the night before, PM me. We are 1 hr 20 mins away, and would love to have company...

So kind of you to offer. I already have a motel in Danville but I'm hoping to move up to a trackside room to avoid the early morning drive. Hope someone can help.

What will the tire support at the event be like? I know there was a lot of back and forth since last season on tire sponsors. Being this would be my first event of the year I was wondering if I should just buy my pirellis ahead of time and bring them with or would there be a sponsor we can reserve sets with? I am really trying to make this weekend a reality with work!

Pirelli tire support has moved from JX2 to Frisby. No other changes to the program or support. You can now also run Michelins under a program supported by Jackson Motorsports.

It's actually all very well explained on the Club Racing website. Hope you can make it.
