That was probably easier than working out days at VIR...

I don't think the March date conflicts with Road Atlanta at all. I spoke with Phil and he is working on the change. It might actually help both the DE and the Race. The race has an advanced DE as part of the event any way.
Can't hurt to let them Know as Dan Jacobs said. I did.

There's also COTA early March, and NOLA mid/late March.

And I know we can't look across every race series, but there is also an SCCA Majors race that weekend at Road Atlanta, and an SCCA regional race the following weekend at CMP. Plus I think NASA has a race in mid March sometime too.... March is just such a busy month already in the Southeast.
But they'll do what they think is best. They're adding a Vintage group which I'm happy about, but if it moves to March, I won't be there...

I'm sure its doable...I just think it will hurt both races. I know I for one will now have to choose. Can't do both so close to each other.

Other race series don't matter. This is pca. Most of us only race pca.
a little bit cold is way better than too hot.
sure, a few guys won't do both rd atl and vir if they are 2 weeks apart. But tons of guys will come out to vir that don't currently do vir because of heat.
my prediction is total registration numbers for rd atl + vir will be +100 cars if vir moved to march.

It was. IMO, it contributed to a number of lapses in concentration resulting in errors, some harmless, some less so, but still a factor. Having raced multiple cars (both closed and open) at VIR in August, the effects are significant on decisions in the cockpit and durability of the hardware.

I was going to say the same thing....at that extreme heat, it is easy to have lapses in concentration. In fact, you could easily have "fleeting lapses in consciousness", kind of like dozing off at the wheel. Pretty much you could be approaching a heat stroke.
