I'm trying these out just bought 2 sets, have not been to the track with them yet...heading there tomorrow. These seem to be everyone's new favorite track pads.

On Spec Miata, Hawk DTC-60 x 4 or DTC-60 in front and 30 in rear.

On Porsche (987 Spyder), typically PFC 08/06/11. Based on great feedback, I've really been wanting to try Ferodo. However, I currently have a stockpile of PFCs that I'm trying to use up 1st... AND currently using Pagid Yellows - only because I got a few sets at a great price. I used to use Pagid Yellows before switching to PFC. Never used Carbotech in any car. Curious how they compare?

FWIW PFC hasn't made any Porsche pad shapes in 01 compound in maybe 6 years. 01 was replaced by 11and 06 was replaced by 08. Not saying their aren't some old 01 on someones shelf. Like I have some 01 in pad shape 7818.

Chung, been using Carbotech XP12s in front on the Mini now for a few years; they work great (for as much/little as I brake ) and the dust doesn't stick.

+1 Those Carbotechs are a good match on the Mini. Used them myself when I had a Mini that I tracked. Really liked them. Plenty of bite!

I don't think they'd do much on your present car, Jonathan--it's so fast you need air brakes

Thanks, Gary and Jonathan!

Obligatory follow-up question. Did you try PFC and/or Pagid on the same or similar car? If so, how did they compare to Carbotech?

Chung, I used the old PF97s (now NLA I think) prior to the Ctechs--they worked well but the dust was akin to the Hawk Blues i.e. if you let it get wet and left it on there it wasn't coming off, if that matters to you.

No time with Pagid, and Hawks I won't get into, other than above

Gary

So it's unanimous - everyone likes something different! ;-)

And that's why we carry different brands. Getting close on Carbotech - Mike (CEO) has been traveling a lot as have I so we keep missing each others questions/responses. Just finalizing the deal...next week hopefully.

FYI, we have plenty of the PFC 7725 in -01 compound. (964, 944 variants, 993) fitment.

HAWK DTC70 on Pirelli DH slicks or DTC60 on NT01. Cheap, good modulation, good temp ranges, can drive them on the street for events without drama (squeal and dust)
