Here's a link to the mounting tray from Cool Shirt FYI. Not inexpensive but quick easy way to get the mounting done if you don't want to fabricate anything.

I’ve got that tray and love it because you can open the cooler and add ice without removing the straps. ...unfortunately the series I’m running in makes me put a ratchet strap over the cooler in addition. :banghead:

Here's mine. I have a carabiner to make it easy to remove.

Then how is the tray itself secured? With additional bolts through the eyebolts into the side flanges of the tray using conventional bolts?

The corners of the Coolshirt tank are rounded. So if you put the bolts through the bottom the of the tray, but in the four corners, then the tank won't interfere.

PS Now that I look at the bottom of the tank, I see it has feet on it. Those would help too.

Mine is a hybrid of these two. I have the tray bolted in the corners with fairly small bolts. I use a strap like Thundermoose's with S hooks attached to two eye bolts. I hate the straps that comes with the tray and this holds it really tight.

I use it mounted to passenger side where seat bracing is in the floor

I used M8 bolts with washers in the corners of the tray.
I cut the bolts to the minimum length needed to avoid the additional protrusion under the car.

We just wanted to throw a couple photos into the mix.

This is the install we did for one of our clients 997 Street-Full Track conversion.

Thank you Steve! We try our best.

I made a small bracket setup out of angle aluminum, similar to Stable's photos.

Nice, but what I want to know is, did you just yank the carbon canister, or did you have to do something with the hoses?
