As you learn it the seconds come off in chunks, and then you fight for the last second, and lastly you start chipping away at tenths and hundreths of a second.

Me neither..! See you there! BTW - I just booked Days Inn from their own website @$53 per night - $133 "all in" for two nights (inc. taxes). Not that I'm cheap, mind you...

My Best,

My preference is Interlaken Inn, mainly because it's so close to the track and is a pretty nice place. In the past they've offered a track rate, at least during weekdays, but you to ask for it. I've also stayed at Iron Master's (so-so) and Wake Robin (a charming place in an old inn, but a bit pricey).

Hi Guys, first post after coming over from the Pelican air-cooled 911 forums.

I used to live 20 minutes from Lime Rock in Pine Plains NY. No affiliation but there is a small nice bed & breakfast there called The Inn at Pine Plains. Stissing House is a great dinner and drinks spot too. http://www.innatpineplains.com

Hi @BFT3.2..!

First - welcome to Rennlist! Second - I just did a google search on the Inn at Pine Plains - and it looks to be an outstanding choice, and not one I've ever heard of until you posted it.! Thanks for that info!

Thanks John! great to be here. - I actually drove by it daily for two years until I realized it was a business, very low key. For anyone staying in Sharon, don't miss out on the real southern BBQ at "When Pigs Fly South" on West Main St.

Great track and facility... too bad its in the middle of nowhere. Other than the local places described above, larger hotels are like 45 minutes away unfortunately.

My car is under a minute but not with me driving it these days. Track easy to learn- impossible to master- and NO room for error. I'm a winner when I go home safe. Peter- unlike some- The older I get the faster I was.

I will be their Bruce.

My 996 GT3 does 56 there when I push it. My SPB holds the record there at 1:00.058. I really wanted to go under a minute in the SPB, but just could not quite get there. Maybe one day........

Not this time. The SPB is to loud for a DE (110db ). I won’t even have the 996 GT3 as it’s also to loud and don’t feel like putting it’s quite exhaust on.

Guess I will have to make due with the wife’s new 991.1 GT3 track car. Interested to see how fast we can make it go around LRP
