Default Replacing 991 Headlights with “Dummy” Lights

Does anyone know if someone makes “dummy” or blank lights, or covers for headlights openings ? Not using lights at the track and they get pitted pretty badly so I was looking to remove factory lights and replace with “dummy” lights or just some covers.

looks like they are available for 997 but haven’t found anything for 992.

Brazilian Cups have them. Dont know where they get them. We use heavy Clearbra on the headlights to prevent the chunking of the pieces on the sides from debris.

A GT4 headlight costs $1800+ from Porsche...I wish I did not know that.

The blanks are not suitable unless you are willing to drill holes into your fenders to mount them. Use clear bra on your headlight.

FWIW, some headlights have shown signs of de-lamination from PPF on them. This is why most shops won't PPF the lights. I have used for a few years a product called Trakktape which is now sold on Amazon. Its also good for the back of mirrors and other areas prone to track rash.

I also believe you have to have lights if you ever intend to go club racing.

Lights are now allowed to be removed for club racing as long as you cover the holes......made no sense to risk expensive headlights least in stock classes

surprised no one has made these yet

I stand corrected! (Actually, I'm sitting but you know what I mean.)
