Grid girls....

Unfortunately, I'm afraid the elimination of the NASCAR and IMSA paddock girls will be next -- based again on a decision by men. I don't think they see the irony. All the grid girls I've ever communicated with LOVED their job and many use it as a springboard to other modeling, etc.
Liberty's statement, read in part, “... it was not consistent with our ‘brands values.’ ” Code for "we're being pressured by tiny little political minorities comprised of overweight and unattractive women who could never become a grid girls."
What a shame.

Being a track worker at the Montreal GP for many , many years i can't understand why they would take away the "parade of the nations " girls , first off , they are not bimbos and it's something everybody can see on national
television and since they start from the top of corner 3 everybody in the Senna grandstands to the front straight stands can follow the march live ...
What they should remove from tv is the wall of girls applauding the podium drivers , who don't even acknowledge them as they run up to have their bottled water and put on their caps !
Just sayin ...

"Rebecca Cooper, a five time F1 grid girl, said on Twitter that it is "ridiculous that women who say they are 'fighting for women's rights' are saying what others should and shouldn't do, stopping us from doing a job we love and are proud to do. [It is] political correctness gone mad."
