Default COTA Club Race

Only 83 signed up so far. Is there a reason signups are so low? People waiting until after Sebring? Cost?

I think it’s because the conditions last year were a bit tough with the rain, the cold and resulting incidents. I hope more sign up. I’ll be there.

Does SPB have a studded tire available?

3rd wintery weather episode this season doesn't bode well for March :-)

It'll either be 100 or freezing...

I’ve signed up. This will be my first event in over a year because of work commitments, 001 has a new engine and I am itching to get on track so fingers crossed the weather is OK.

Looking forward to seeing 001 ripping around COTA again.... Hopefully Norb will be in fine form as well. I will be there next weekend to give it some proper exercise.

Damn - solo only - I've only done one event at COTA. Is there any way to get solo signed-off before this? Really would have loved to join.

This DE is set up in support of the PCA club race and as such there are only two run groups limited to 50 per group. There will be very limited instructor support, so it is for Advanced Solo drivers. There will be a full 3 day HPDE only event the first weekend in June and it will be open to all run groups. Hope you can join up in June.

Maverick PCA has a DE next month at MSR Cresson. What run group are you normally in? Solo/advanced isn't just based on COTA. HTH

Thanks - I'm in the yellow group. My best lap times are 2:49. To be clear, I've on done one "real" event at COTA. I did a Porsche Experiene thing there, and a Longhorn Academy thing, but only one with Edge Addicts. I may try to get up to Cresson, that actually works better with my schedule, and the June event may as well. Thanks for the quick responses, itching to get back out!

You should be good to go based on requirements listed in this thread's 1st post here.

I heard from Tracey, since Edge has not technically certified me as solo, then I'm not yet... she encouraged me to do Cresson, get solo certified there.
