Default Hudson Valley advanced & unmuffled DE @ Lime Rock April 10

Registration is open for our Tuesday afternoon unmuffled DE at Lime Rock, Tuesday April 10. Registration is open:
Click below to go to our registration page.
Clubregistration.net

We will be accepting registrations from intermediate (white), advanced (black) and red (instructor) run group drivers.
This will be a 2 run group format from 12-5PM.

Below is the event description.

Driver's Education event at Lime Rock Park, Tuesday April 10, 2018. This event is open to all Marques with only 40 entries accepted.
Our track day is for Advanced Drivers only (White, Black, Red) and is un-muffled.
We will have two Run groups which will be organized by a variety of factors including driver experience, prior run group assignment(s), and what car is being driven. This is a half day event and we will run from 12 PM to 5 PM. No un-muffled cars are to be started before noon.
So if you have a car that you have not been able to run at Lime Rock because of it's noise level, now is your opportunity to run on this historic track. Track will open at 10:00 am for Tech inspection and Registration.
For those who plan on attending the Club Race on April 20-21, this is a great opportunity to get seat time prior to the race as it is the only un-muffled event prior to the race.

If you have any questions, let me know or contact our Track Chair/Registrar: Kevin Challacombe

Only unmuffled days are Tuesday's "Test and Tune" from 12-5 and sanctioned race events, and as those dates are mid-week I would say they are muffled..

Muffled. If you need an original exhaust to meet noise at LRP, I can get you one for free.

thanks Frank that's super nice of you - but will probably just do the unmuffled test and tune and the DE day prior but will hit you up if I sneak up to NNJR. Last year i just did recon laps on Thursday in high gears since I had never been there before. I got black flagged after one lap for 103db at the de. I had turn-downs but they don't seem to make that much difference, or were pointed the wrong way.

one question for Hudson Valley - why is the event $300 on the LRP site, but $350 via your club at motorsportreg? not that I care all that much, but hey - fifty bucks is a fraction of a tyre....and this DE budget thread really has me rethinking the two sets of R7s I am going through every weekend

No worries - the exhaust is yours if you want it as it just takes up space in my garage right now. I can bring it up to LRP for April 10th or the T&T day or the race. Just send me a PM if you want it.

The price on the Lime Rock website is for their test and tune days. Our price for the unmuffled DE is 350. All added up we would lose money if we only charged $300 for 40 drivers.

On the noise restriction at Lime Rock, I am hearing conflicting information. How strict are the db monitors at LRP for an event on Wed & Thurs and would a 991.1 GT3 with stock side mufflers and GMG center exhaust bypass pass sound or get black flagged? Anyone with experience, views would be appreciated. Thanks

I would bet with anything "bypassed" that increases db from stock won't fly, depending on cloud cover, leaves on trees, and moon location.. I've seen bone stock cars fail sound there.
