Corner 5 is a really tough corner to master.
Youre flat out, big brake, going over a big hump, turn your head to the right. All this in a few seconds, and you have to watch your exit cause you can lost your rear end. Its hard.
Im very surprised, but i have almost 4k view in my little mosport run back in 2016.
I was able to get my time down to low 1:27 in my last club race event in 2017.
I will aim for a 1:26 this year.

Seb, who holds the GTB1 record at Mosport with a 1:261?

Well known pro racer and home track for him.
Beating this time is quite impossible at my level. 😞

Umm, no.
I don't believe that. It is not impossible and you can do it, if everything is right.

Seb I think you can do a 1:26.xx no problem.
Re. 5b depending on the car and the speed you carry in through 5a, sometimes it`s optimal to nibble the outside curbing at 5b entry to buy every inch possible to get the car rotated prior to 5b apex. The sooner you can open the hands and get back to throttle, the more speed you can create to launch up the back straight. This is easily worth a few meters more distance travelled in setup between 5a and 5b.
IMHO it`s best to treat 5a/5b as one arc with a decreasing radius at the end. Very similar in feel to Oak Tree at VIR.
