Corvette ZR1 - too fast?
Am I the only one that the thought of a green student in a 2019 Corvette ZR1 is a little unsettling?

755 HP - 710 ft lbs of torque...
At least there is a version in Sebring Orange...

I just rest easy resolute in the belief that the real jackholes will have wrapped it around a telephone pole well before they coordinated the necessary executive functions to register for and arrive at a track day.

Nah. Most will go into collections or to cars and coffee. Very few will make it to the track

From the linked article in the OP:
"Chevy hasn’t revealed how quick it is, but says the ZR1 will break the 210
mph barrier, which could put it within range of the $450,000 2016 mph Ford GT."
That's one damn fast Ford!!

I'd say it's just about fast enough.
Definitely a lot of fun, in my experience...

These things have variable traction control as long as the owners are smart enough to leave it on they should be fine. All the guys I've instructed in C7 Z06 were old and drove very carefully.

Don’t discount the capability of these cars...

One of the scariest was a mid-aged guy in a Boxter. Go figure.

Oh - I'm not. Sooner or later the laws of physics end up taking over. Like ProCoach says - some of these cars install a degree of confidence - some of which is not warranted.
I've had a variety of students in Corvettes over the years from one extreme to another. Had a new z07 that was a great car - and a great driver. Would listen and immediately apply what I was telling him - also had a dude show up to his 3rd DE with a modded corvette (c5) on hoosiers that stayed up all nigh playing "Forza" so he would know the track - apparently better than me. He spun on 5 because in the game he could carry more speed going into 3...
That gave me a more than a few grey hairs...
