Default Fuel Cell Bladder Repair

have an ATL bantam bladder and it has a very small spot where it is weeping fuel. Anybody ever repaired one of these and if so, what will bond to the Kevlar?

Fuel cell bladders can be repaired for leaks. The cell manufacturers do repairs and recertify in some cases. I'm sure someone will chime in on a fix that you can do yourself. Whatever you do, consider the age of the bladder. And if it's leaking in one spot, might there be others brewing?

I use Aero Tech (not ATL) here: http://www.aerotechservicesinc.com/

I also use Hartwig: http://www.hartwig-fuelcell.com/page2.htm#newcells

I am dealing with a similar issue with the fuel cell in my Radical. I had hoped to do a simple repair but mine was too far gone. I called ATL about repairs and they will only do repairs if the cell is less than 5 years old. I am having a custom cell made by Harmon Racing Cells and they are less than half of the price of an ATL cell and they give a 7 year warranty. They are very understanding of the needs racers have so they may be willing to sell you some materials to make a temporary repair.

Good luck,
Charley

Called ATL yesterday and they were actually helpful. Directed me to a 3M product DP420 and it worked like a charm. Bladder repaired and reinstalled. Will make the race this weekend!
