Awesome to see that you've gotten this off the ground! I admire the enthusiasm that you and your fellow enthusiasts have to start this from scratch in a place that is just getting its first race tracks. I wish you continued success.

Back to the track
I wanted to give a quick update here...
A few weeks after the first event, I decided to perform some engine preventive maintenance work (such as HG, Rod bearing, valve seals and guides). Since I did it myself and it is the first time I did any engine work, it took its time...
Car was back together last week and I was able to do a few drives to ensure it is ok, so yesterday, I did another DE day.
This time it was @ Fatzael. A small purpose built track (about 0.8 miles).
The track is operational, but it is no where near the facilities I see in some of your posts... It is still missing good escape routes and gravel or tires to slow down cars out of the the track as well as other facilities, but it is already an improvement over Dalton and they plan to continue to improve it.
Touching on you prior advice, helmets are mandatory. Must say that it is not the most comfortable for a 6"3 man inside a 944... but safety above comfort.
Also got myself a Halon fire extinguisher just in case...
Finally, here is a video of one of my runs:
I am just getting started here and any feedback and suggestions for improvements are welcomed.

I am 6' 2" with most of my height in my torso (short stubby legs), and I get by plus I am old and gray headed. If you are going to run without the sunroof then you should invest in some arm restraints. Hopefully you will never be in a rollover, but if you are you do not want it being worse with your arms flopping about through the sunroof. I deleted my sunroof so no worries for me there.
Looks like a fun track.

Quick update.
We have been doing baby steps in the right direction since my first post here.
Two tracks have been opened (Fatzael and Arad) and the "Time attack" league has begun..
Another larger and faster track in the Negev will open soon.
Helmets have become mandatory for track days. Full FIA 3.2/5 gear is mandatory for participating in competitions.
Here is my latest video from Arad today:
Also some photos from Fatzael:

Well done. Congrats!

We race around a lot in the desert too here in SoCal, NO trees, plenty of ruts off track, gravel & sand marbled track surfaces and the finest dust around.
Be safe, have fun and finish well !!!
Get those track records while you can

I wonder where these guys will be in ten years? Full blown DE? Competition racing?
It's kind of cool to see this starting at a grassroots level. Most Israelis that I know really know how to get things done. I guess living in a country where all your neighbors want to kill you makes you a little tougher than most.
I wish you guys success!
