Default F/S 944S2 Race Car

Listing for a customer who is selling for health reasons.

This car has been around a long time in the PCA club racing world, and the miles are actual on it (41k). The car was originally raced out of Kansas City by Joe Ennett in PCA club racing. He was fanatical about maintenance, while I did some minor things to it between events, Steinel's in Ohio did the major engine work etc as needed. Joe retired from racing, sold it to a fellow in Ohio who eventually had Steinels do a full engine build (from what I was told, and it appears to be fresh, but will know more if i can get records). The car then went to Oklahoma where it just sat for a year or so, and now back to KC where it has been used for about 4 DE events with the current owner. Car was always a podium winner when Joe was racing.

Price: SOLD (9/4/17)
Location: Kansas City
Contact: Porschedoc at rennsportkc.com

Details:
I am trying to get some records from Steinels as they were lost somewhere between owners as to the major work done.

944 S2
41k miles
CCW Wheels
Front Koni Struts
Rear Bilstein escort cups (I have a set of rear Leda that were on the car, but the left top shaft snapped as I guess is common, Leda has the parts available but we were in a hurry to make a DE so customer bought bilsteins for the rear)
968 M030 sway bars
Full cage
Sparco EvoII Seat
Schroth 6 point harness, new last year
Cool shirt cooler
Quick release steering wheel
Lightweight battery
17" cup 2 mille miglia wheels unmounted
I beleive it has the M030 brakes as well (larger fronts than the non M030)

Since the car has not raced in club racing in the last couple years, the new owner will probably want to go through it and update to any rules changes etc. Back when Joe was racing, I think you still had to have full interior, AC compressor, etc. I haven't followed the PCA rules in years for this class, so not sure exactly what has changed. I assume things like the door panels can be gutted by now, etc. New owner should update the fire system IMHO.

Harnesses good through 2019

Original miles.

FWIW, Joe Ennett is a many-year friend outside of the Pcar world. A really solid guy. Health issues caused retirement from racing, and he misses it a lot.

IDK about anything after he ran it.
