The 918 is the only car I've ever driven which made me feel sick to stomach under acceleration. It's positively warpy. Pneumatic acceleration... make t feel like like the rate of acceleration over time is accelerating.
That's the best thing I can say about it though.

My former CGT would top out at ~153 mph at the end of the back straight at Mid-Ohio before prudence intervened.
My 911 GT3 RS 4.0 would do ~149-150 in the same place.
My 918 is going ~150 at the "kink" before topping out at ~172.
It does 1.3-1.4g in cornering and braking and is absolutely phenomenal in stability. It's so easy to go really fast that it makes one somewhat suspicious of one's sanity after cooling down from a track session.
The CGT was tedious in any attempt to put down power out of a corner. It always felt like it was trying to cut short my longevity.
I'm so pleased with the improvement of the 918 over my CGT that I can hardly express it.
Again, YMMV.

Yea, but it's like a Videogame. So remote you barely feel like you're in charge. If you like the feeling of a car making you think you're an uber-driver then yes, there is nothing better than a 918. But a P1 is massively more involving, and I would assume (haven't driven or ridden in carrera GT) that that car is even more involving. The 918 might as well feel like a driving simulator with all settings set to "easy", I personally don't enjoy that

I personally prefer cars that don't constantly give me the feeling that they're trying to kill me.
To each his own

Great video of race cars that happen to be street legal.
Upgraded my SV with factory race exhaust and tune 820 hp. Once the Trofeo's are available might have to meet up with a 918 owner and have some fun after that an ACR - E moment to end the day with a 918 in the rear view
CGT bashing ... 12 years later there is only one better drivers car believe F1's are going for 12M.

I find this truly amusing. You guys have no idea who W8MM really is and what he actually does for a living. If you knew, and the vast collection and racing association he has, you wouldn't try to argue with him about car knowledge.
And Nuvolari612, have you actually dynoed your factory race exhaust and tune? Because my buddy just did and the factory race exhaust produced a whopping +18hp and - 3lbs/ft torque to the wheel. 820hp tune? I think you better verify that buddy! And for the record, I have both a Murci SV and an Aventador SV. I love them both to death but there is no way in hell the SV can come close to the 918 on the track.

We come here to discuss, share, learn, and to enjoy the banter. If you feel like only a few are worthy of conversation with you,, then create a forum called "we are badasses don't speak to us" and post on it solo.
Until then.. take it easy gees.
anyway... amazing timing.

918 owners going fast in a straight line for 10 seconds - no wonder it comes with battery operated assistance
Suggest the CGT Ring thread just make sure your wife doesn't watch.
Superman Batman Spiderman - news flash there are a few guys here who can handle a race car.

It's one thing to argue about which car is faster between the P1 and the 918 (certain track configuration will suit one car over the other), but the SV is not even in the same category, regardless of which track you are on. Others who have track experience with the SV can chime in here.
LOL, between Batman (SV) and the Superman (918), I pick Superman!

Well, just sharing my personal experience with both cars on the track at Thermal and Big Willow. Believe me, there are others who have tracked the SV and none of them can come close to the lap time set by the P1 or the 918.
