They do make them pretty though.
Not my style, however.
Right. And you know this because ...

Again: armchair experts never having driven car proclaim with total confidence on matters they know nothing about. Looking for that "free lunch" which will somehow produce equivalent to years of development and custom parts for "way less $" while picking stuff out of a catalog for their weekend hobby project.

Meanwhile no 964 tuner has so far produced anything close to as good driver. I haven't found it and the automotive press haven't either.

But Spyrex is about to prove us all wrong in his spare time and one will pop out of his shed real soon now. Disingenuous.

Just a quick update...
I appreciate the comments and feedback that was posted here and still go back and forth a little bit. But leaning strongly towards a Singer.
Found a day a couple of weeks from now when I can get away to the west coast. Going to Singer in mid July for a visit. Looking forward to it. Wish I had more than an afternoon though because I know there are a couple of good resto shops around LA.
Any recommendations if I can squeeze out an hour or two extra?

Wish I could tag along with you. That Singer shop looks pretty amazing. Keep us posted.

Agree! At least look at the 2 and compare. Take a trip to Germany and visit Ruf!

Have looked at a GT3RS 2011 & 2016.

For some reason it never goes further but the thought of a Singer sounds interesting.

After the Viper ACR - E thread here it was a no brainer - just a thought.

The 1 of 1 program allows for a silly amount of options and it's the last of the last in many respects and best of all it's going out on top.

I'd also consider an Accumoto 911. http://www.accumoto.com/accumoto-911-story/

Very interesting alternative. In that case i would go for RUF definitely.

I would go for the Singer all day long if I could swing it financially. Such a unique and fantastic car, and something I would keep for the rest of my life.

Has there ever been a Singer for sale on the secondary market?

I've also wondered this.
I assume almost all of Singer owners have no real concern of resale, depreciation etc. but I've been curious of resale/actual worth of these beautiful machines.
