Default I'm thinking of selling the 918

I'm thinking of selling her . I've been away for months and when I'm back there I prefer to drive older things . She's too fast to interact with friends on track , too fast for the road , attracts so much attention but she is perfect . She does everything , perfectly . Tour , track , commute , everything . Oh what to do , what to do ?
I keep thinking of another RSR , a 962 or 935 instead . I'm torn . Help

I like spending other people's money!!

962 would get my vote. I was reading up on it after the recent Seinfeld sale and it's a great looking car with impressive pedigree.

Great looking collection of cars you have. Best of luck finding the next one for your stable...T

Just kidding, you have an awesome dilemma. If it was me there is no way I would give up a 918 but since I will never ever have the dilemma you have I have no way of advising you. Having said that: I think what you really need is to reconnect to Porsche at its most basic. I suggest we swap cars for a week. You will love my Spyder, I guarantee it. And I'm sure I will learn to tolerate your Spyder.

I would use it more for daily duty if you can.

I wouldnt sell it unless I found something really interesting to replace it....

A 993 GT2 clubsport would be nice...
Even a "driver" 356 speedster would be good slow fun.

Don't sell it if you don't have to. Its the perfect car to "tour" Europe and visit a few circuits for track days.

And I mean my caption very sincerely. The 993 GT2 is one of the greatest Porsches of all time (depending upon the ranking factors, I might say #1) and my personal favorite. To go right to the Clubsport (with only 33 ever built) is fantastic.

It will be sad, if a petrolhead like you, sell it. It's part of the Porsche and automotive history...

buddy doom,

Go with what your heart says. Don't worry about anyone here's opinions.

It's your car, your money, your choice.

But I know what you mean, the car is too perfect.

Ok don't all kill me but The gt2 wasn't really my cup of tea . Prefer my 993 RSR , I like NA power [sorry].

As for the 918 , it's great don't get me wrong . I just seem to have less and less time in the uk to enjoy it and I seem to be looking further back in time to get my kicks .

I'd like another historic I can race .

I'm going to be back in Europe soon , I'll drive her and see what happens then .

Thanks for the opinions

I like Whoopsy's suggestion...do what feels right. Nothing wrong with selling the 918. A buddy of mine in LA already sold his.

Hey wtdoom! I just love the looks of the 918 Spyder! I was in the process of ordering one, but after having driven it twice I decided to buy a mint Carrera GT instead. In my opinion a much more involving drive. My suggestion: Sell the 918 Spyder and buy a nice 904 GTS.
