Their impressions:

Porsche: best engineered and easier (relatively) to drive fast

Ferrari: its a Ferrari with a v12, whats not to like?

McLaren: lightest and fastest thing you will ever drive (or just look at on youtube)

I'm so happy to see this long format and at a really ***** out track with higher speeds. Seeing the race style trio lap and drift around at the end was worth the wait.

I loved hearing all their impressions of the characteristics of the cars- steering weight, pedal feel, hybrid magic sauce etc.

Best video of them yet and much better track than thermal's short course for the visuals and top speeds!!

Cool video but I think there is a little British secret sauce baked into those numbers...

I have been reading British car magazines since the 80's and Brits are usually biased toward their local cars... Multiple objective testing including some British sources like Top Gear (old) clearly showed the 918 to be faster than the P1. So did the Hyper 5 test in CA.

Great video - very well done and entertaining to watch but with a P1 bias...

The P1 won it fair and square. The track is suitable for it. The high speed corner leading to the long front straight is where the P1 can put the hammer down, showcasing it's high end power.

Not only that, but the 918 is the essence of automotive industry. Super-fast hyper cars or super cars are made for ages, including Porsche itself.

But to try to make a completely different vehicle with philosophy and ideas from the future, while still being as fast or faster as the old school monsters is the thing which deserve all that respect!

At the beginning nobody was taking the 918 seriously. After all this years, since the first prototypes were shown, we came to the day in which we argue hundreds of pages, which is few tenths of a second ahead between the fastest all-round vehicles on the planet. Respect!

Don't tell the McLaren fan boys that. They cannot accept the P1 losing anything.

Interesting that the grand tour used a proper driver , and focused several times on the cars running the same tyres

And those tires are PZero Corsa, standard tires for the LaFerrari and P1.
