10 years ago a similar thing happened to me when I drove my brand-new Carrera GT to a central Indiana WalMart while attending a track event. The kids called out; "Hey, mister! Is that the new Corvette??"

I've had much worse with my CGT. While filling up at a gas station a teenage kid came up to me saying wow, wow how much did you pay for that. I told him I got a good deal as I didn't wanna get into it. He asks like how much, $100,000? I told him no a little more than that. Then he goes on to tell me I paid too much, and finally to top it off he asks me why didn't you just get a used 911 instead. I told him I couldn't afford one and he nodded his head and said yea they're really expensive, but your car is nice too.

Burning Brakes
I had a guy come over to me to complement me on my yellow Mustang (Ferrari 512). I was baffled at first but then realized both makes had a horse emblem.

I met that fine southern California gentleman in June. He was picking up that beautiful 918 from the factory. The next day a group of us left on a 918 Spyder Circle tour through the Austrian Alps. It was a grand 4 days and included a bonus stop at the home of Dr. Wolfgang Porsche. He invited us on a private tour of his garage and fine collection of cars! Can not wait for Alps Tour 2.0 next year to northern Italy and ending in Munich for Oktoberfest!
