Congrats! Love the red interior, works so well with GT Silver!

Did Malton sell the white Weissach car they had in stock together with yours?

Check your monitor, maxt. It's not red - it's black with green accents!

Yes, Malton have now sold 3 918s including the white Weissach
.

Doh!! I knew Malton had a GT Silver with Red and I wrongly assumed that's the one you bought! Well GT with Black and green piping is not shabby either, so congrats anyway!! Mine won't be here until late May, so I'm very jealous about yours!

The front trunk measures 23" wide, 15.5" deep, as in front to back.

20" height for the back and ~13.5" for the front edge.

Now you got your box dimensions

Sorry for this late response. But I think the only way to put a week's worth of stuff in a 918 is to use the passenger's side of the car. The trunk is barely big enough to take a week's worth of underwear and socks.

As for the Porsche luggage set, I think it will be a nice addition to the car from a collector's standpoint. But it doesn't appear to be very practical.

I forget who it was. But one person asked Porsche about this six months or so ago, and I believe the response was something like, "have your luggage shipped separately to your hotel."

The 918 is an incredible car. You won't be disappointed. It is so much more than I expected. It blows my mind every time I drive it.

I'd like to buy the garment bag system only. Has anyone done this? That, plus soft bags in the trunk, would at least maximise the available space.

I notice in the video that the centre console unit clicks into place. Does this require a visit to the dealer to fit a mounting kit first?

The centre console case comes with 2 'attachment points' that screw into pre-made holes under the centre console, for that you don't need to go to the dealer to have it installed. You just pop 2 plastic covers and reveal the holes.

When I was at the factory(March 2014) I asked about buying just those bags and was told the whole set had to be purchased, it was not offered as individual units. I have not heard that they have changed, but have not asked either.

Here are the choices

1. All 5 pieces
2. The garment covers + the trolley case
3. The 2 small cabin pieces.

I'll get all 5.
