Default CGT Harnesses

Hi all, I was wondering if any of you had harnesses for the CGT. When I bought my CGT it came with harnesses but they have not been attached as of yet. I am taking my car in for annual service and I was thinking about having the harnesses installed. Any pros or cons?

Careful mate , you have to drill into the carbon under the seat to get to the attachment point .
Make sure they have done one before you entrust your pride and joy to a man with a drill

Pro: They hold you in better.
The major "con" would be that it's irreversible. I mean, you could take the harness out, but you'll still have holes in your car.

I believe you guys are right....irreversible holes. I'm not really going to track the car so perhaps I will leave them out.

Don't know if this will help, but 3M makes some really strong2 part epoxies that could be used to glue on tabs that could hold the harness. They have some incredibly strong products that are amazing. I'll see if I have some left over from an aircraft project and get the part number to you.

You can go 4 point and avoid drilling.

I believe the 2 lower anchor points on a 4 point harness would just replace the current lower anchor points on the stock seat belt.

Justin, please correct me if I'm wrong.

If this is the case and easily reversible then I may do it.
I had harnesses in all my previous Lotus' and it always felt great being harnessed in - feel one with the car.

I believe so, my friend had a Schroth setup in his and I didn't look close enough, he has since sold the CGT for a 918, silly move.
