So my car did finally arrived. I took some pictures but didn't have time to process them yet. Here is the link to my dealer's pictures. My own will be practically the same as he and I were both standing around the same place when taking pictures.

Car was received at the dealership by a skeleton crew, got parked in the shop and the PDI will be done Monday morning at 6am. They did that so no one will bother the tech, at least for the initial couple hrs.
My dealer has been very good to me over the years so when they asked my to not take delivery right away despite how long I had been waiting for the car, so they can host a 918 lunch reception and use it as a marketing draw, I didn't hesitate to say yes to the request. Been waiting for 18 months, what's another few days? And it's not like I didn't know my car has arrived, I was there every step of the way. (come to think of it, I think I spent more time obsessing and following the car's progress than my own 1st born)

Man that is a beautiful car!! congratulations!
"The best car is the next one" that is kind of how I think about it and as the journey comes to an end of waiting for delivery of the 918 it will be hard for other cars to measure up to this "first born" status.

I'm excited for you.
As the owner of a 911 Turbo S 918 Special Edition car, I'm a pretender to owning the real deal. Nonetheless, I'm enjoying your pics showing the acid green accents and carbon fiber, both of which trim out my car. The interior, particularly the console, in your 918 look spectacular.

I am not planning to do any wraps, my car is standard Porsche metallic black, easiest paint to match.
If you do plan on wrapping, DD is right, the bottom front wheel wheel vent back is the primary area, you might also want to do the top vent too. Actually the whole rocker panels. For the back, if you have Weissach pack, the winglet is the obvious spot.
One of the site sponsors, Premier, do an amazing job wrapping cars judging from their photos.

Gonna eat my own words.
I will have the 2 rear winglets, the front lower lip, and the mirrors and windshield frame wrapped. Paint is easy to match but carbon is almost impossible to refinish. Might also do the roof halves and the rear wing too.

Get the car paint corrected and sealed. Wrap it. You ll be happy you did.

I will leave the painted area unwrapped. I enjoy doing my own washing, polishing and waxing. Gives me an excuse to use the thousand dollar plus stuff I bought from Griots Garage.
No fun waxing a plastic film.

Thanks.
The 918 edition Turbo S is a very good special edition 911, I just missed ordering one, I ended up with a normal Turbo S instead.

And soon you will be able to see your own come off the transport too.
My own pics might have to wait a bit, as I don't officially take delivery until next Friday or Saturday. Jason, aka Atomic80, will be doing a photoshoot this coming Tuesday, and I also had another photoshoot booked with a local P1.
I am actually swamped with messages asking for photoshoots, everyone wants to get a piece of it as it is the 1st one in town. My dealer posted info of it's arrival Saturday at noon and I had already found quite a few pictures of the car from people visiting the dealer over the weekend just to see the car.
