Default CGT Steering Wheel Help

Sirs , Ive exhausted all avenues here in the UK . Does anyone know where I can get an OEM Carrera Gt look steering wheel in a smaller diameter please ?
Perhaps have one made ?

I find the standard wheel slightly too big for track work .

Thanks

B

Default Steering Wheel

Have you tried Gert Carnewal (gert@carnewal.com).

He's in Belgium and I got a steering wheel (with paddle shifters) for my 996 TT in Carbon (leather is also available) and it's smaller than the standard wheel.

Service was really excellent. He responds to emails quickly.

Website is www.carnewal.com

Hi John, thank you for the kind words.

wtdoom : As said in my email, there is no factory airbag steering wheel with a smaller diameter.
The only smaller ones that fit the CGT are the 993RSsteering wheel (360mm) and the Cup steering wheel with 350mm. However, both steering wheels don't have airbags.

The only option for a smaller steering wheel is the Raid/Atiwe 340mm that comes with a full size airbag and bolts right in.

This is a Raid steering wheel in Alcantara that we once delivered for another Rennlister : It's actually black Alcantara but looks a bit grey on the picture due to the flash.

Thanks Gert , its very nice of you to show me the pic . I have actually seen that wheel on a friends Carrera GT . Unfortunately it is too thick for me and too different to oem .

I dont suppose anyone knows a custom wheel manufacturer ?

Try Vilner in Bulgaria, they manufacture custom steering wheels.
www.vilner.eu is their site, I can help you to contact them as they are based in Sofia, Bulgaria.

Surely there must be someone in the UK who could re-trim the existing wheel with maybe thinner padding and leather? Or customize the existing wheel. It can't be that hard, surely?
