the car # on the truck with mike's car (custom color car also) is # 555, I saw it yesterday.
I believe it was the 170th 2005 car built. serial # ended with 1170.

That sounds more like it. My 05 is a 3XX car.

According to the order guide,"Offers Approximately 2.4cm Additional Width
Over Standard Bucket Seat", which is almost a whole inch. This contrasts with something Roland Kussmaul "guesstimated" while I was in Geneva when he made hand gesture with his thumb and fore finger that seemed to indicate about half an inch.

Anyway, the XTs fit my butt and rib cage just fine. I'm 6'4" with a 34 to 35" waist (pre- or post-holiday feasts) and a 44L jacket size.

I've yet to play with the included thicker seat-front, under-thigh bolsters. It might help, or hinder, my leg position for comfortable pedal operation. That's next up on the experiment agenda
I got the XT up 10 mm for the passenger (in case someone bigger or olderr rides) and the regular width and 10 mm lower for the driver. It's a "little" snug sometimes (6'0, 190, with 35" ish waist), but I supposed I could just switch the passenger and driver seats if I ever gain too much weight. Interestingly, Gert only wanted like 5k euros for another seat if I want it.

Mike,
Do you mind me asking which dealer you picked it up from? Please don't say Northland. My office is just a couple of miles from there and I would hate to think that I missed out on seeing your car only being that far away.

Congrats!

Don't worry, it was Beechmont. Northland lost my business long ago when they wouldn't even try to find out how much headroom was gained in a 993TT by ordering a sunroof delete option. I asked both the owner and the sales manager at Northland 5 or 6 times in person and a few times over the phone to find out for me.

They never did, but one stop at Beechmont and it was instant information!

I've done business with Bruce Harnish there ever since. He's absolutely the best. A real straight shooter with no B.S.. David Profit, the service manager, is beyond reproach as well. And, I don't give out praise lightly. These guys are the real deal.

Cool

Mike, Looking under your signature, Id say very nice choice of color on the GT. Finally something different from the silvers.

I wasn't gonna have a P car for a while after I sold my 993 but this speed yellow showed up in the local dealership...there was no stopping me. By the way, V1 is hardwired

Hi Marty,

I haven't had it out of the garage since the drive home from the dealer

This weekend had some good temperature and sunshine, but there were still blowing-and-drifitng ice-melt salt dunes left over from the last snow storm. Maybe this week's predicted rain will wash that all away and then dry out
