The calipers are painted so they don't clash w/the body color (signal yellow). I'm fairly certain you mentioned in previous posts that you purchased that option.

What do I win?

Greg A

EDIT: Both ben and SPR posted while I was typing my response.

Nothing going on, it's a stationary wheel!

Seriously, it's the red calipers that are out of the ordinary, and Greg is pretty astute

Is the little caliper, the parking brake, holding the car still?

What is going on "wrong" or "right" in this picture? Guess I failed...

I agree with Greg. Signal yellow is great color. Mike, been long wait for you --happy and safe miles.

Sweet!

That's as nice as they come, enjoy in good health!

I look forward to some objective comments on the overall experience with the car. I'm betting there is no problem with the clutch or the handling.

The cops, well the V1 will take care of that..won't it?

Hey Mike,
That is a beautiful color combination! Congrats on the car, now you will know the pain I have been going through trying to keep it under 4,200 miles during the first 1,000 miles. We definitely need to have a Carrera GT get together.

I have a question for you though, are you going to do a custom install of a V1? If so I am looking for ideas on putting one in mine also, I just can't see having it hanging from the windshield. If you come up with something please let me know as I love the detectors and want the level of radar protection I have in my other cars.

Thanks!

John

Also anxiously awaiting Mike's V1 install for suggestions.

Wow I never even knew that car was available in Yellow lol. Nice purchase, so you can get the pccbs in red from the factory? Do all signal yellows come with that combination or did you put in a special request?

It's amazing that with all the technology out there radar detectors are still big and bulky. The v1 as nice as it works looks like hell. Somebody needs to produce a small sleek and wireless radar detector.

The CGT has always been available in yellow (Fayence I believe), but Mike took the "paint to sample" option. He probably has one of, if not the, only Signal yellow CGTs. You can now get the calipers in a few different colors. Both the "paint to sample" (like $15k) and caliper deviation from yellow (like $5k) are fairly expensive though.

Available no cost colors:
