Yeah, it's way more than I'm used to paying in the 993/996/997 frame of reference.

However, since I had already ordered non-metallic paint-to-sample in "my yellow", I needed to protect my aesthetic investment by getting red brake calipers. Otherwise the standard Speed yellow calipers would look pretty damn ugly on a Signal yellow car.

That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it.

mike-when does your car come in? let me ask you another question, as you obviously know the porsche market. i presently am leasing an 03 tt whose lease is up in a little over a year. my car will have the total allowable 39,000 miles on it then and my buy back will be about $79,000. would you attempt to buy it at the end, if you were me? do you think i have much chance of getting it for less than the residual from the dealer, maybe as a certified car, or would you just hand it back?

It's supposed to be delivered to PCNA's "processor" (PDI contractor, I guess) the middle of next week. It's on the water right now.

If all goes smoothly, it might show up at my dealer via InterCity sometime the week of Feb. 21.

All I know about Porsche TTs is that my 993TT didn't depreciate nearly as much as my 996TT when I turned them over. I have never leased a car in my life, so I am not the person to offer sage advice about your situation.
