Default CGT for $15k off MSRP

If anyone is interested, my Seal/Ascot CGT is in Brunswick and will soon be in route to Kansas where it will be shipped anywhere in the US for $15k under MSRP.

Ben

Do you mind if I ask why you are giving up on the C-GT?

Also, you make reference to the fact that many people are walking out on their purchases. Is there a single factor involved in this? I am concerned as I have one on order for a 6/05 delivery.

Alot of the reason has been the clutch which is not nearly as much a reason as the ride height. This car will only fit in one side of my garage since the entrance (even though slightly sloped) is too steep for the car. Unforunately the lift I designed into the house (for the CGT) is on the other side and the CGT won't make it up the ramps on it anyway. Porsche promised a 3/4" raise kit to a friend of mine but he dumped his after it turned out they don't have anything. I drove the car for a nice chunk back in late August and found it less fun than my Stradale! Also my experience with a buggy Cayenne Turbo hasn't inspired confidence in this limited production and new car.

Another view: I am absolutely delighted with mine. Clutch is a non issue. Ride height takes some caution. But man-oh-man, what a car! I'm just sorry winter is coming.

BTW, Ben, I've mentioned your post to a new friend who took a ride with me. I believe he may be interested. When I hear back, I'll PM his contact information. Or if you prefer, PM me with yours and I'll put you in touch.

GoFast, do you actually OWN a carrera GT? I've not seen any pictures or substantiative proof. Just wondering. Its somewhat easy to claim to own one.

All i am seeing is one picture of the terracota interior. You posted a nearly identical picture, but a differen CGT. Do you own a CGT? No. Yet you were able to come up with the same pictures he did . . .
Not much as far as proof goes, is it.

Ben

Sorry to hear about your C-GT woes. I, too, have a sloped driveway. Getting my GT3 inside is no problem, but I measured about a 1" clearance on my GT3 chin spoiler, and gofast has told me that the clearance on a C-GT is about 1.3" to 1.5" lower. I guess I'll see come June.

Thanks. It's not just the height as it is that the nose is so much longer which accentuates the problem in a way that is diff from a low GT3.

Where in the big WI are you from? My home is GB.
You ever display your Countach anywhere near Saumico for a car show?
